2023 EVENTS

Pinnacle Fitness offers endurance sporting events that provide a world-class experience for the participant, sponsor, volunteer, and spectator – all in a race venue carefully selected to showcase the stunning beauty of the area.  The events are designed so that participants of all abilities can be part of a great experience and feel the rush that achieving a goal can give. At Pinnacle Fitness, our events also place a priority on positive benefits for the community, stewardship of the area and world-leading sustainability programs. Pinnacle Fitness has a rich history of establishing major endurance events including the Subaru Western Triathlon Series, National Championships, ITU races, Pan Am and Commonwealth Games Qualifiers.

2023 VICTORIA SPLASH & DASH CHAMPIONSHIPS

JULY 26, 2023 6:00pm -  VICTORIA, BC, CANADA

Elk Lake, Saanich BC

The Victoria Splash and Dash Championships is a short swim and run endurance event that is open to all ages and abilities.  The Splash and Dash Series takes place at Hamsterly Beach in Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park in Saanich, BC and has been held since 2014.  The event is open to participants from Victoria, or those who want to visit from other communities.   Participants can choose from many different distances or enter as a relay team.  The event attracts all levels from first-timers to national level triathletes, swimmers and runners - serving as a key development tool (and rare racing opportunity) for aspiring elite level athletes.  Participants can prepare through June and July in a series of training events (The Splash and Dash Series) on the same venue leading up to the Championships at the end of July. 

The event is focused on fitness and fun, and an opportunity for families to participate together.  The Championships will include special guest participants, extensive prizing and awards (especially for youth participants), and a post race celebration and barbeque.  Proceeds will be donated to local youth sport.

BANFF MARATHON

JUNE 18, 2023 - BANFF, AB, CANADA

10K / Half Marathon / Full Marathon / BMO Kids Run

 

The Banff Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K offers one of the planets’ most incredible and beautiful running experiences, all in Canada's first National Park.  Starting in the picturesque mountain village of Banff, participants will flow through a series of incredible natural, wildlife, and historical stages as they pass by the serene Vermilion Lakes and journey along the stunning Bow Valley Parkway.  The return trek will travel alongside the Bow River and over Banff’s famous bridges finishing to cheering crowds in Banff’s downtown Central Park.

 

The Banff Marathon event also offers many “Marathon Festival” weekend activities including the Health and Fitness Expo, Free Local Kids Run on Saturday, Touring Tin Antique Car Show, Banff Park Museum and, of course, all of the beauty and activities that Banff National Park has to offer. Many of the participants and their families make time for hiking, the gondola, hot springs, wildlife watching, cycling, shopping, boat tours and more in beautiful Banff!  The event is pleased to have the Banff YWCA as the official Charity.

THE VICTORIA HALF, OLYMPIC AND SPRINT TRIATHLON

JULY 16, 2023 - VICTORIA, BC, CANADA

HALF / Olympic / Sprint / Duathlon / Aqua Bike / Relay Teams 

 

The Victoria Half is one of Canada’s most classic and beautiful triathlon events.  For over 25 years, athletes have been making the trek to picturesque Vancouver Island for this incredible west coast race experience.  The course features a calm one-loop lake swim at Elk Lake followed by a ride through the scenic Saanich Peninsula and a 2-loop run on the flat soft lake trails of Elk and Beaver Lakes.  The event has a rich tradition attracting the world’s best triathletes along with many first-timers while also serving as National Championships, and Qualifiers. The event is also famous for its commemorative “hoodie” that the participants proudly sport from year to year.  The event is pleased to have Victoria Youth Triathlon Development as the event Charity.

MELISSA'S ROAD RACE

SEPTEMBER 23, 2023 - BANFF, AB, CANADA

5K / 10K / HALF MARATHON

 

Melissa’s Road Race is one of Alberta’s most historic and popular running events. Melissa’s features sensationally scenic routes in and around beautiful Banff National Park. The event is a staple in the community and raises funds for many local charities and youth sporting groups. The event features a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon and has been described as a colourful display of sport and fun in Banff National Park. Melissa’s is also famous for its entertainment along the course, contagious spirit, and long-sleeved commemorative running shirt featuring local art. Melissa’s has received multiple awards as Alberta’s Best Road Race and is a longstanding tradition in Banff.  The event is pleased to have the Daycare Society of Banff as the official Charity.

2023 CAMPS

IRONMAN CANADA CAMP

JUNE 23-25, 2023 - PENTICTON, BC, CANADA

All Levels Welcome

For Ironman Canada participants or triathletes looking for a training weekend

 Join in on an amazing weekend of training on the Ironman Canada Course!

 

Swim, Bike and Run on the Ironman Canada course with fellow athletes and great coaches who know this course well!  It is an amazing opportunity to ride the Ironman Canada bike course including Skaha Lakeside Road, Richter Pass, the famous Yellow Lake mountain pass, and the new out and back section that includes stunning views reminiscent of European cycling routes and winding descent on White Lake Road.  You will run on the first stage of the Ironman Canada run course - The Kettle Valley Railway (KVR) along “The Bench” overlooking beautiful Penticton and Lake Okanagan. The camp also includes a drill/skill open water session in Lake Okanagan – a great opportunity to swim on the Ironman swim course.  The camp wouldn’t be complete without a few socials throughout the weekend to share your stories!

 

The camp includes:

  • Coaching and tips for success on the course

  • Supported bike rides including transport, hydration, nutrition, minor bike repairs

  • Coordination of social activities

  • Commemorative swag

*Camp fees do not include transportation to Penticton, accommodation or meals
